
Ms. Slusser is an Executive Vice President of GGE. She is responsible for all capital formation, transaction, US greenfield and financial activities. Ms. Slusser is working at GGE's corporate headquarters in the Washington, DC area.
She joined GGE from The AES Corporation where she served as Senior Vice President and member of the AES Development Company’s Steering Committee. During her 21 years at AES, Ms. Slusser led several large power company acquisitions and developed multiple greenfield power projects. She served as the company’s head of mergers and acquisitions and as a senior leader in the company’s alternative energy group.
Ms. Slusser has extensive experience developing, building, financing and operating power stations, and in acquiring, building and operating electricity distribution companies. As President of AES Aurora, one of AES’s eight regional operations groups, Ms. Slusser led AES’s expansion into the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America; she acquired, developed and managed 12 electricity businesses in this region with a total investment of $2 billion. In addition she has experience managing power companies for AES in the Caribbean, Panama, El Salvador, the UK, South Africa and Tanzania.
Ms. Slusser has also served as an independent director for TCW Energy Partners since 2008.
Prior to joining AES, Ms. Slusser worked in the Project Finance Group at the investment bank First Boston as a financial analyst from 1984 to 1986. Ms. Slusser graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in Geology and holds an M.B.A. from The Yale University School of Management.
